- Carry a mystery bag filled with small surprises such as stickers, snacks, or small toys. When the restlessness kicks in, bring out something from the bag as a novel distraction.

Be Flexible with Your Itinerary
Who doesn’t love a well-planned itinerary, right? But with kids, I’ve learned that a rigid schedule doesn’t always work. Once, we planned a tour-packed day to a city and ended up spending most of our time at the small park nearby because it had a wonderful children’s play area. The kids loved it and, despite the change in plans, so did we. So, keep some wiggle room in your travel plan for surprise detours!
